The most awaited book of 2022 is Jennette’s memoir which shares how difficult her childhood was as an actress. In addition, in her book, she mentions that she had a difficult relationship with her mother, Debra McCurdy who would physically as well as emotionally abuse her.

The regular taunting and misbehavior from her mother caused her an eating disorder.

Moving on, she reveals that her mother was overbearing and total controlling over her daily activities. Until she was 17, she was never allowed to bathe alone, and forcefully had her breast and vaginal checks on a daily basis.

Is Jennette’s Mother Debra McCurdy Alive?

Debra McCurdy passed away on September 20, 2013, due to breast cancer. In addition, Jennette openly accepts that she is glad her abusive mother is no longer alive.

In 2021, she even had a dark comedy show titled ‘I’m Glad My Mom Died’. 

She shares more of her tragic childhood and traumatizing past in her upcoming book which will be officially published on August 9, 2022.
