The talented star Yvette Nicole Brown starred as Shirley Bennett on the popular comedy series Community for 5 seasons. The fans were devasted when she said goodbye to the show via a Tweet in 2014.

She was one of the lead roles in the show which was very much loved by the audience. The chemistry she had with her on-screen characters instantly won the hearts of millions.

As per sources, she had to leave the show just before the finale because her father had gotten sick. There were also rumors that she, herself was sick which made her leave the show.

In an interview, Yvette Nicole Brown disclosed that she suffered from Diabetes while being a cast at Community. She shared that she used to eat a lot of sugar-contained foods while shooting which ultimately gave her type 2 diabetes.

After she realized she was just compromising her own health, she decided to make a change. She quit her show Community and then gave more focus on improving health. In addition, she dialed down the amount of sugar intake and started exercising more.

In a short period, the changes were very much visible. Furthermore, this even made headlines, and fans started getting curious about her change.

Yvette also shared that fans would even ask her for some diet tips.
